Welcome to Sandwich

explore cape cod

Sandwich is a beautiful historic town founded in 1637, most notably the home of the Daniel Webster Inn and Dexter Gristmill along with the Sandwich Glass Museum. Be sure to check out the wonderful boardwalk that goes through a marsh and out to Cape Cod Bay that can't be missed! There's a small downtown area of shops and restaurants for your enjoyment with the Daniel Webster being my favorite place to dine. If you like to walk or bike head over to the bike trail on the Cape Cod canal with a few restaurants that have views of the canal, Fisherman's View, Seafood Sam's and Pilot House. There are beautiful residential areas in the town but they have the highest real estate tax on Cape Cod probably due to its low commercial tax base. Benefits of living here include the closest proximity to all the south shore areas of Massachusetts like Plymouth and Boston compared to the rest of the cape. You can hop on the bus from Sagamore just over the bridge from Sandwich and get off in South Station and enjoy a day in Boston.
